Happy Raya Day!!

Yes! I have another freebie for you! This one is a QP made using the gorgeous collab between Zakirah and Sya! Two of my favorite designers. :D I'm just sooo proud of both of them! I first met them as scrappers on some CTs with me and hanging around the same sites... and now they're both AMAZING designers. Z has some of my absolute favorite kits and Sya is just fantastic at templates! Plus she's been branching out into designing kits, which is how this collab came about... Family Matters.

It's available at both Scrap Orchard and Scrap Matters and you really don't want to miss this one! I'm super lazy and can't link up the kit for you at the moment so I hope you'll forgive me and hop on over to the next blog where you'll find a preview and link, because no one's as lazy as I am. :(

Enjoy!! Here's the next stop on the train...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRAP MATTERS!

ScrapMatters is one!!! How awesome is that! Don't forget to drop by and get some goodies... they're all AT LEAST 30% off... and there is some BEAUTIFUL stuff. And I'm not saying that just because I'm a CT! Or maybe I'm saying that because I'm a CT and I know what's in the shop. Hehe.

Anyhow... birthdays aren't extremely huge in my family. Especially mine! Not because my family doesn't love me... but I'm almost NEVER home for my birthday. It's always some kind of camp. I guess one tradition for us is getting a cake for the three of us, my mom, my sister and me, from this one shop in China Town that has THE BEST CAKES! We've been getting them there forever... not too sweet... fruit in t
he middle... absolutely perfect. Haha.

Enough chatting!! I know you just want your freebie. I feel like such a lazy bum since I only have one when everyone else seems to have at least two! In my defense I DO have another freebie... though I suppose that's not a very good excuse since Kim also does... and she did two of BOTH! Does having college count as a good excuse? lol.

Here's your freebie!

Here's a link just in case that one didn't work.

You came to my blog from Jen's and your next stop is at Kari's!

Sorry for the mistake on the linking earlier. *blush*

Here's the card I made to celebrate Merdeka Day with Z!

Isn't it such a fun kit! You really don't want to miss any of it. Here's my part of the download. EXPIRED

Lazy Cow... last day of work... and a freebie!

So whenever I make a blinkie for my CTs I generally make a lazy cow version of it as well, for Monica. Welllll... I often feel like I should be the one wearing the lazy cow blinkie, and this is one of those times! LOL. I suck at updating and even though I made a pact with Nett that if she updated I would, she's been updating and I haven't. Surprise, surprise huh?

But I decided to be a good little girl and post some recent LOs of mine! And do a little enabling, of course. Here's one that I did last Sunday, for the Speed Scrap I hosted at DST. I used all Sugarplum stuff, including bits and pieces from her gorgeous grab bag at TDC!

This LO I scrapped last night, with two grab bags that are going to be available at ScrapMatters new site. And both are only three dollars! So run over to ScrapMatters as soon as you can... the new site is gorgeous! Have you guys heard about it? ScrapMatters has gone through a complete revamp and should be open again sometime tonight... To help celebrate there's going to be tons of festivities going on the whole week, including lots and lots of Speed Scraps! More on that later! This LO was made with Ellie Lash's Grab Bag and Sya's Blueprints' Grab Bag. The "baby doll" is Irene Alexeeva's dd. Isn't she just the cutest?

Back to the whole Speed Scrap thing... I attended one tonight hosted by the lovely Erica Zane. And this is what I made!

Both the kit and the boy belong to Monica, mgl Scraps. It's her newest gorgeous gorgeous kit, Crimson Gypsy!

And if you head on over to Nett's blog you can even find a 20% off coupon for it!

Can I just say that I'm soooo thrilled that today was my last day of work! It means that I'll have lots and lots of time to dedicate to scrapping and blinkie-making again... at least until I'm off to college! EEK! Anyhow. Enough chatter... Here's your freebie! Can't say it's my best work but I hope you like them anyways... These were made with Nursery Chest by Moon Scraps (who has a coupon on his blog) and Vasco kindly let me post them on my own blog! Speaking of Vasco... I happen to know he's coming out with a collab soon with one of my fav designers and I'm sooo excited for it!! I'll let you girls know when it's out! Anyhow! Here's the link to your freebie.

Eek! Sorry I forgot!

And of course I totally forgot to come back.

Okay! Here are some examples of blinkies I've made.

This one was made for Zakirah using her kit, It's a Charmed Life, which is one of the most gorgeous kits ever!

Here's the very very first blinkie I got paid for (Ellie insisted) using Ellie Lash's adorable She Dreams!

I can't resist throwing a little toot in here! The LO I scrapped for the ScrapMatters Speed Scrap with She Dreams actually made it into Bella Scraps Magazine! I don't have to LO with me because I'm at work and I deleted it from all of my galleries but I'll be back to post it!

There are several more blinkies, but I don't want to flood you with them so I'll jsut show two more I've made recently.

The first one was made with Franziska Altmann's Bohemian Rock Candy, which is available at both Sunshine Studio Scraps and Scrap Orchard! I made Ziska a CT blinkie too... and I'll be back to show it off when I make some changes, namely because I'm a "VIP Guest" for Ziska!

I have to get back to work... but I'm going to try to keep up with my blog better.

Sorely needed update!

Hey! I haven't updated my blog in wayyy too long! And I kinda want to make that post below go onto another page. LOL.

I've been a busy busy girl making blinkies! I opened up shop at Scrap Orchard and been trying to desperately keep up. Lol. My procrastination isn't helping much.

Summer's here so I'm working in a lab, which means I have less time. Luckily I'll be done come mid-August so I can devote even more time to scrapping! YAY!

I have several pieces of news, but I'll be back later tonight, hopefully, to post some examples of blinkies and recent LOs...

Slightly Disillusioned

I absolutely LOVE the scrapping world and have not yet met someone that is not ridiculously kind and fun to talk to. It was disappointing, therefore, for me to find that there are definitely people in the scrapping world that are... well... not so kind! I was reading some comments about grab bags and was really sad to see that many of the commentors were basically talking "smack" about the bags. I think that I feel the old saying, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything, I mean... if you don't like it, say it's not your style and that you're not going to buy it. But I think it's completely unwarranted to accuse designers of copying other designers and saying they have no talent! Honestly... there's only so much that can be done! There will always be the "staple" elements of flowers and leaves and staples and buttons and such. What I love about the digi-scrap world is that there are so many different takes on such things! I think what really set this off for me was seeing a few posts that said Scrap Orchard only had designers that were copy cats and basically had no talent. That made me mad because I LOVE all the designers at SO and think they ooze talent. Yes, to each their own, but I think it's rude to say something so degrading and hurtful. That being said I'm PROUD to be a CTM for Scrap Orchard and think the designers there are FABULOUS! I'm done with my rant, that probably won't be read as I have few readers, and that's that. I'm disappointed to see the uglier side of scrapping but I still love it! I'll be back soon with some exciting news. I have some stuff to show off but photobucket is dying on me. :(

Ridiculously lazy!

Sorry girls! I haven't blogged in weeks! I don't have that freebie I promised (sorry) but I do have some exciting news! I was asked to stay on as a permanent CT member for Sunshine Studio Scraps! Do you see my pretty blinkie at the side? I MADE IT! Lol! I discovered how fun it is to make blinkies... so I volunteered to make them for all the Sweeties, as Amanda, who was making them before, lost access to her computer. :( Did you girls attend the Grand Opening? It was tons of fun and we gave away lots of prizes!

More exciting news... I was also asked to be on the Site CT for Scrap Orchard, though I'm now more of a Gal Friday than a CTM. LOL!

I have a bunch of stuff going on, most notably blinkie-making for a bunch of my CTs and YEARBOOK SIGNING! It's the end of the school year and I'm running around trying to get all the yearbooks signed.

Alright. I should get back to work! I'll try to be a more reliable blogger!!

Slacking but a Template Freebie

I have made TONS of layouts but I am way to lazy to post them up right now. So I know I promised a brag book page but I've been super busy and haven't had time to zip and upload it yet. AP Tests are coming up! GAH! So instead I'm offering you a two-page template I created for Scrap Orchard's So You Think You Can Design Challenge. I've never made a two-page layout before so I hope you like it! Please leave me some love! Thanks so much.

Slacking on blogging but not scrapping!

So I haven't posted in a long time but I've been making layouts almost every day!! I got accepted on some more CTs, which I'm really excited about. It's so amazing that people want me to work with their gorgeous kits, when I've only been scrapping for about two months! So here are all the layouts I've made recently.

First of all here are two for LorieM, made with her kit Happy 2gether.

And here is one with her kit Lil Ladybug.

Here are two layouts made using Everlasting Moments by Michelle Yiap--another one of the amazing designers I'm working with.

This one is made using Once Upon a Mattress by Danielle Engebretson. It's such a fun whimsical kit!

Whew!! That's all for now. I'll be back tomorrow to link all the kits. Uploading the images took too much effort already. ;]

Challenges, Games and Chats!

Have you guys ever been to Scrappin Freestyle? They're having a crop right now and there's tons of fun challenges, games and chats. You win "tickets" that can be redeemed at a prize gallery after the crop is over. It's ending on Sunday so hurry over! http://www.scrappinfreestyle.com/

Here's a layout I made for one of their challenges. This layout has a record 71 layers. Haha. I made myself a script for PSP that numbered all of the layers from bottom to top. It was really useful when I was adding shadows, especially for the tiny flowers, because I knew that the layers that were copies were the ones that needed to be changed. If you'd like to try the script out, just leave me a comment!

I used Sugar Princess by Nicole (Sugar Plum Paperie) and Ellie (Lash). Isn't it such a sweet kit? You can find it at either http://store.sugarplumpaperie.com/ or http://ellielash.com/store/

Using Tea At Grandma's

So I made another layout using one of Summer's kits, this time Tea At Grandma's. The picture is of my sister, before her senior ball. The kit is full of soft pretty colors! I just loved the lace element.

My official CT layout!

So I was assigned Amy and Lauren (The Polka Dot Plum) and Nicole (Sugarplum Paperie) for this month. I was given Juneberry June by Amy and Lauren and allowed to choose any of Nicole's kits. Here is the layout I did with Juneberry June. Isn't the kit gorgeous? It was sooo much fun to play with. The papers were so pretty I didn't know which ones to choose. I wanted to layer more but I didn't want to cover the pretty patterns either. It was a real dilemma. ;] The kit's full of fun elements: swirls, tags, frames, buttons, flowers! There's also a bunch of lovely shabby stitches I wanted to use but didn't fit in. I kept on adding elements and had a ridiculous number of layers... probably the most I've had so far. I think I was up to 30-something? I'll be making a layout with Sugar Princess from Nicole soon but I wanted to post this up first! I was probably inspired by all the lovely pages the Sunshine Sweeties have made--I spent a good hour going through every single one and commenting. Have you seen how many there are? And they all have such gorgeous layouts. It was super fun. Anyhow... enough of my babbling. Here's the layout!

Yet another layout

Have you girlies heard of Summer Simmons? She's a wonderful designer with a store at http://www.sugargiggles.com/. She's currently revamping her site and wanted people to make some layouts for her using her kits and I asked if I could make some. Here is the first of them! I used her pretty kit Ladybug Picnic. Everything on the layout is from the kit except the frame, which is from Walking on Sunshine. (I can't seem to help using Sunshine Studio products!)

Isn't it a fun little kit? I love the stitched alpha it comes with too! My preview doesn't do it justice at all.

Some Layouts and More Exciting News!

I've been accepted as a Guest Layout Artist for LorieM. If you don't know of her and haven't seen her lovely designs, go check out her blog. She offers freebies sometimes and also sells her gorgeous kits. http://digiscrapdesigns-by-lorie.blogspot.com/ Here is a layout I made with one of her previous freebies.

Lorie also has a little challenge/special gift thing going on currently. You can download pictures of her daughter and make a little bragbook page for her third birthday and receive some pretty bragbook pages Lorie made as thanks. Here is the one I made. I used the Thank You kit by Sunshine Studio Scraps.

This was made for a challenge at Snap and Scrap as well as Digital Candy. I scraplifted You Are the Reason by Hollie from Digital Candy and used Walking on Sunshine by Sunshine Studio Scraps. It's a gorgeous kit that I haven't had time to use completely yet so I'm definitely looking forward to making some more layouts with it.

Want the kit? You can buy it in several different places.

There's more I'm forgetting so I'll add them in later.

That's all for now! I'm off to do some more homework. Ugh.

My first post!

I've been scrapping for about a month and finally decided to create a blog. I'm not sure how effective I'll be at updating, but I couldn't resist getting the news out. I'm a Guest Sunshine Sweetie for April and May and I'm soo excited! I'll just be posting the layouts I create and links to freebies I particularly like. That's all for now!
